This Yves Saint Laurent, YSL, they call it, this bag, it’s somethin’ else. This “ENVELOPE BAG,” that just means it looks like, well, an envelope. You know, the thing you put letters in? Only this one, you carry on your shoulder.
I heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ this YSL ENVELOPE BAG is all the rage. They say it’s made by some fancy designer, Anthony somebody. And folks seem to like it. Released it back in 2018, they did. That’s what they say, anyway. Some resort collection. Whatever that means.
Buyin’ This YSL Bag
Now, if you’re gonna get yourself one of these YSL ENVELOPE BAG things, you gotta be careful. Lots of folks out there tryin’ to sell ya fakes. They look real, but they ain’t. You gotta know what you’re lookin’ for, or you’ll get taken for a ride.
- First thing, you gotta find a good place to buy it. Some folks say you can buy ’em online, but I don’t know about that. Seems risky to me. Maybe you know better about those online things.
- They say you should only buy from places that know their stuff. Big stores, maybe. Like I said, I don’t know nothin’ about online shopping.
- If you got the money and you want a good-lookin’ bag that’ll last, then maybe it’s worth a look. But if you’re like me, you’d rather spend your money on somethin’ more practical.
They say these YSL bags come with a soft bag, a “dust bag” they call it. Supposed to be high quality, whatever that means. Just a bag to keep the dust off, I reckon. If it don’t come with that bag, somethin’ might be fishy.
Real or Fake? Check the Details
Here’s somethin’ I heard. They say the real YSL ENVELOPE BAG has this YSL thing on the front, that big letters, and it’s gotta look right. Some of the fake ones, the letters are all wrong. Too skinny, or too fat, or just plain crooked. And the sewin’, they call it stitchin’, that’s gotta be tight and neat. If it’s all loose and messy, that’s a bad sign.

They say it’s Saint Laurent now. But everyone still calls it YSL. Same thing, I guess. Just like me, folks still call me all kinds of names, but I’m still the same old me. But they got this YSL logo, and that’s a big deal, they say. It has to be just right, or it ain’t real.
This YSL ENVELOPE BAG, it’s got this quiltin’ on it, they call it. Little squares or diamonds or somethin’. That’s gotta look right, too. If it’s all uneven and sloppy, that ain’t a good sign.
And the chain, that’s gotta be a certain way, too. I don’t know all the details. Just be careful, is all I’m sayin’. It ain’t gold, but it ain’t cheap plastic either. It’s heavy. But not too heavy. They say the fake ones, the chain is too light. Or too dark. Or somethin’.
Inside That YSL Bag
Inside, there’s a tag, they call it a label. That’s gotta have some numbers on it, a style number, and another number. If it don’t have those numbers, somethin’ ain’t right. And the writin’ on that tag, it’s gotta be just so. Not too thick, not too thin.
There’s this other YSL bag, the Loulou. They say it’s a classic. Comes in different sizes. Small, medium, I don’t know what else. But this YSL ENVELOPE BAG, that’s the one everyone’s talkin’ about now. They say the Loulou is real popular, too. But this ENVELOPE, that’s the new thing. For now, anyway. I heard the Loulou is real nice, though. Soft leather, they say.
I don’t know about all these fancy bags. I got my old purse, and it works just fine. But if you’re gonna spend your money on one of these YSL ENVELOPE BAG things, just be careful. Make sure you’re gettin’ the real deal. Don’t get fooled by some fast talker tryin’ to sell ya a fake. You might pay a bit more, but at least you know you’re gettin’ a genuine YSL ENVELOPE BAG.
Anyway, that’s all I know about this YSL ENVELOPE BAG. Just be careful out there. And don’t spend all your money on a silly old bag. Unless you really want to, I guess. It’s your money.
