Alright, so I’ve been messing around with watches again. You know, just one of those things. I saw this thing about the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 8, the “Dark Side of the Moon” one. Sounds pretty cool, right?

So I started looking into it. I found out it came out in 2018, and it was for the 50th anniversary of that Apollo 8 mission. You know, the NASA one. The one they circled the moon for the first time ever.

Digging Deeper

I found out that the Speedmaster is, like, a big deal in the watch world. Apparently, it’s got some serious history. That made it even more interesting, so I kept digging. I wanted to know what makes this watch tick, literally.

I went and tried to find out more about the guts of this thing. This model, they call it the 3869. I think it is basically a 3861 but with some fancy laser stuff on the front. It’s supposed to look like the moon’s surface. Pretty neat, huh? The closer side to Earth.

  • First, I looked around to figure out what was up with this Apollo 8 watch.
  • Then, I checked out what makes it so special compared to other Speedmasters.
  • Finally, I found out about the cool laser thing they did to make it look like the moon.

So that is my little journey into the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 8. It is a pretty cool watch. It was really cool to see the surface details designed to look like the moon. That is it for now!
